Hut 252 is situated on the exclusive Mudeford Spit. Beautiful harbour views and stunning sunsets over the Priory can be seen from the front veranda with a back drop of the Solent and ‘Needles’ to the rear.

Our stunning new hut overlooks ‘Holloways dock’, a lagoon used to load ironstone excavated from the Head in the 1850’s but is now a haven for wading birds which can be watched from the comfort of our beach hut veranda. Hengistbury, the harbour and the lowland marshes of Stanpit have been designated a ‘Site of Special Scientific Interest’ (SSSI) which is home to a huge variety of migrating bird species and mammals.

The hut is reachable by either foot or for a small fee by land train or ferry from Mudeford Quay. There are various parking options which we will inform you of prior to your visit.

The hut sleeps 5 and has a gas cooker (x4 hob, grill and oven) and12v fridge/freezer. The hut is beautifully lit, all lights are powered by solar energy where you can also charge your phone/tablets via a USB port.  Running water is just a few steps away along with the toilets & showers.

There are plenty of books and board games for old fashioned fun in the evenings.  A radio, BBQ, kayaks, sun loungers, binoculars, buckets & spades are all there for you to use. If there is anything else you feel you will need just let us know.

We have lovely neighbours who also enjoy the tranquillity of the Spit but please be considerate as they are only a few feet away although handy if you run out of sugar….
